The place

A campsite overlooking the bay of Cala Iris.

The campsite sits at the top of a cliff in the Rif, facing the Mediterranean, next to the small port of Cala Iris. From here you see the bay, the islet, the mountains and the sun setting over the sea.

It was built stone by stone by a family, with natural materials and the wish to leave this landscape intact. People come for one night or for several weeks: in a tent, a van, a motorhome, or under a real roof.

  • Built with natural materials
  • Renewable energy
  • Natural reed-bed water treatment
  • A team on site, here for you all year

The founder

Mohammed Alaoui-Sossi

He grew up in the orphanage in Meknes, and all his life he gave back what he had received: to his family, his neighbours, anyone who needed it. Passionate and big-hearted, he built this campsite with his own hands, from the first works to the opening.

The campsite is like him: generous, simple and warm.
